OUR PROGRAMS

Community and Mental wellness

We support members in diverse communities on self awareness to understand their disputes, Trauma and stressors -Related Disorders, Substance – Related and Addictive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders and Depressive Disorders, how to cope with them and the triggers.

OUR FOUNDER

Dr. Rose N. Kiiru is a Doctor of Clinical Psychology.

She holds an M.A in Psychology and a Bachelor Degree in Education. She holds clinical experience from Government and private clinical settings. She is a Mental Health researcher with several research publications. She holds other relevant competencies and qualifications which include: International Certified Addiction Professional, Intervention for Adolescent Substance Abuse, Motivational Interviewing, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing and a Certified Professional Mediator.

She is a member of several local and regional boards and professional bodies and has been on the forefront mainstreaming Mental Wellness in governance functions and productive spaces. Inspired by her experience in championing Mental Wellness, the Kizima Mental Wellness foundation was born. Through it, the foundation partners and collaborates with like-minded individuals, organizations, and institutions to offer Mediation and promote Mental wellness. With regards to mental wellness, its interventions are biased towards Trauma- and Stressors-Related Disorder, Substance-Related and Addictive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders and Depressive Disorders.
