The birth of Kizima Mental Wellness Foundation was inspired by the founder- Dr. Rose N. Kiiru research findings on mental health themes; they revealed complexities that requires multidimensional approach for achieving sustainable Mental health management.
‘Kizima’ is a Kiswahili word that means ‘holistic’ The organization focuses on evidence-based solutions and leverages on multi stakeholder partnerships and collaboration to promote mental wellness in a holistic manner. With regards to mental wellness, its interventions are biased towards Trauma- and Stressors-Related Disorder, Substance-Related and Addictive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders and Depressive Disorders.
