About Us

Kizima Mental Wellness Foundation is a legally registered Non- Profit Organization in Kenya. It offers certified mediation and promotes mental wellness through research, advocacy, prevention, assessment, treatment and reintegration interventions to individuals, groups and communities.

 

Our Vision

Towards mental wellness and resilient society

The birth of Kizima Mental Wellness Foundation was inspired by the founder- Dr. Rose N. Kiiru research findings on mental health themes; they revealed complexities that requires multidimensional approach for achieving sustainable Mental health management.

‘Kizima’ is a Kiswahili word that means ‘holistic’ The organization focuses on evidence-based solutions and leverages on multi stakeholder partnerships and collaboration to promote mental wellness in a holistic manner. With regards to mental wellness, its interventions are biased towards Trauma- and Stressors-Related Disorder, Substance-Related and Addictive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders and Depressive Disorders.
